Murray Head - Mario / Maybe Tomorrow Original 1984 UK 7" Vinyl Single (Virgin, VS 702, Picture Sleeve, Very Good)
£2.50
A sleek, moody slice of mid-1980s British pop-rock and new wave history from a legendary stage and studio vocalist. This is the original 1984 UK first pressing of Mario by Murray Head, released on the prominent Virgin Records label under the primary catalog reference VS 702 (with the sleeve matrix layout VS 702-1).
Issued just months ahead of his massive international chart-topping success with One Night In Bangkok, this specific release is a standout selection taken directly from his 1984 studio album Restless. Produced by Steve Nye alongside Murray Head, the tracks feature gorgeous late-80s production dynamics engineered carefully by Pete Williams. The sweeping A-side is beautifully paired with the atmospheric B-side track, Maybe Tomorrow. Complete with its original stylized matte photo picture sleeve featuring artistic layout design and portrait photography by Sue Ellis Jones, this 45 RPM single makes a brilliant, fast-moving addition for any vintage collector archiving classic 80s alternative rock, synth-pop, or UK chart memorabilia
