Elton John - Sleeping With The Past Original 1989 UK Pressing Vinyl LP with Lyric Inner Sleeve (838 839-1)

Add a definitive masterwork of late-1980s pop-rock to your collection with this authentic 1989 first UK vinyl pressing of Elton John's multi-platinum twenty-second studio album, "Sleeping With The Past." Released on The Rocket Record Company (838 839-1), this cohesive album was conceptually designed as a creative homage to the soul, R&B, and gospel icons of the 1960s, keeping analog rhythm arrangements at its absolute core.

The album includes his historic, first-ever solo UK Number 1 single "Sacrifice" along with the driving soul hit "Healing Hands". Moving away from heavily synth-driven pop, the record features extensive keyboard textures by Fred Mandel and Elton John himself, alongside the legendary guitar work of Davey Johnstone. Beautifully dedicated to his long-time lyricist and partner Bernie Taupin, this hand-selected LP comes completely intact with its original gloss picture sleeve and custom printed photo/lyric inner sleeve jacket. A stellar, smooth-sounding spin for serious collectors archiving peak-era British songwriting
